For the last several months I have been exploring my Liguria, a hidden gem on its own, and seeking unique destinations for you to experience. I want this small group experience to fit into my own goals and mores. I prefer to always support local businesses, local Italian families, Items that are Organic, Biodynamic, Natural and/or Sustainable offerings. I also want anyone traveling with me to adventure into places that a “normal” tour cannot even reach. Finally, since some of these places are unreachable except with a small bus, they remain mainly untouched by all but the intrepid travelers.
I enjoy homecooked food and local, fresh food, great wine and olive oil, especially when it’s organic.
I LOVE meeting real locals, people born here with families that stretch back generations.
I prefer to sleep in local hotels—for this experience we have two very different 4-star hotels owned by families. One is by the sea in a hotel originally built as a monastery built in the 15th century (with many improvements as of now) and has been owned by the same family for over 53 years. The second is a hotel diffuso, again owned by a family. A hotel diffuso is a hotel spread throughout a town. This one was begun by a family as their relatives passed away. They have 3 separate homes that have been sustainably refurbished into deluxe hotel rooms. The town has only about 350 residents and you will stay among them and enjoy dinners with them at their local spots. It is an experience in itself.

Day 1 – 05/18/23
Morning ● Meeting with the tour guide. ● Guided walking tour to discover the city of Genoa, the ancient and glorious Maritime Republic. ● Lunch at characteristic Italian food shop in Genoa.
Afternoon ● Transfer with driver from Genoa to Laigueglia. ● Check-in at 4* family-owned seaside hotel in Laigueglia. ● Free time.
Evening ● Dinner at your leisure at restaurant in Laigueglia - (we can book restaurant recommended without additional fees - à la carte menu).
● Guided walking tour to discover the the evocative villages of Alassio and Laigueglia.
● Overnight stay at 4* family-owned seaside hotel in Laigueglia.
Day 2 – 05/19/23
Morning ● Breakfast at 4* family-owned seaside hotel in Laigueglia. ● Free time. ● Transfer with driver from Laigueglia to Bastia-Albenga. ● Visit to an organic farm in Bastia-Albenga where they make wine, grow spices and other vegetables. In addition to visiting the farm, there will be wine tasting accompanied by typical Ligurian dishes. A good light lunch at the farm.
Afternoon ● Transfer with driver from Bastia-Albenga to Borgio Verezzi. ● Free walking tour through the alleys, small squares and panoramic points of the hamlets that make up the municipality of of Borgio Verezzi. ● Transfer with driver from Borgio Verezzi to Laigueglia.
Evening ● Free time. ● Dinner at your leisure at restaurant in Laigueglia - (we can book restaurant recommended without additional fees - à la carte menu).

Day 3 – 05/20/23
Morning ● Breakfast at 4* family-owned seaside hotel in Laigueglia. ● Check-out. ● Transfer with driver from Laigueglia to Cervo. ● Enjoy wandering the winding alleyways (or caruggi in Italian) where families have lived for centuries. See the gorgeous sea below as we experience above the sea. ● Transfer with driver from Cervo to Pieve di Teco.
Afternoon ● Light lunch at an organic farm in Pieve di Teco. ● Visit to an organic farm / oil mill where high quality olive oil and other typical products are produced. In addition to visiting the farm, we will visit a traditional and historical ligurian house with its owner in the village of Pieve di Teco. ● Transfer with driver from Pieve di Teco to Borgomaro. ● Check-in at 4* Family-owned Albergo Diffuso in Borgomaro where you will check into your 4* Family-owned Albergo Diffuso, where the lodgings add to your surroundings and enhance your adventure. You will experience authentic Ligurian life by living in sustainable re-constructed homes transformed into hotel rooms in the midst of the people of Borgomaro. The town itself is surrounded by woods and olive trees and small enough to walk everywhere easily. Day 4 – 05/21/23

In addition, a light lunch will be provided using locally grown ingredients. ● Free time.
Afternoon ● Transfer with driver from Lucinasco to Chiusanico. ● Guided visit of the "Museo delle Latte" in Chiusanico, a collection of ancient containers for olive oil and curiosities related to the processing and trade of this typical excellence. ● Transfer with driver from Chiusanico to Acquetico. ● Guided visit to a winery in Acqueatico and wine tasting of typical Ligurian wine.
Evening ● A very personal experience of farm-to-table local cuisine organized by the local farmers and restaurants. Enjoy dinner like a local. ● Transfer with driver from Acqueatico to Borgomaro. ● Overnight stay at 4*Family-owned Albergo Diffuso in Borgomaro.
Day 5 – 05/22/23
Morning ● Breakfast at 4* Family-owned Albergo Diffuso in Borgomaro. ● Transfer with driver from Borgomaro to Sanremo. ● Guided walking tour to discover the city of Sanremo, an important city on the coast, which has always been a popular tourist destination for its mild climate all year round and famous for the iconic "Italian Music Festival".
Afternoon ● Lunch at your leisure at restaurant in Sanremo (we can book restaurant recommended without additional fees - à la carte menu). ● Free time for shopping and relaxation on the beach. ● Transfer with driver from Sanremo to Borgomaro.

Day 6 – 05/23/23

Afternoon ● Transfer with driver from Dolceacqua to Valloria. ● Walking tour through the alleys to admire the painted doors of the houses of Valloria, a small village in the Imperia hinterland. ● Free time. ● Transfer with driver from Valloria to Borgomaro.

Afternoon ● Lunch at your leisure at wine bar / restaurant in Triora (we can book restaurant recommended without additional fees - à la carte menu). ● Free time for shopping and relaxation. ● Guided visit of a traditional bakery where the processing of the typical Triora bread will be shown and then it will be baked and tasted with oil and other product and typical dishes of the area. ● Transfer with driver from Triora to Borgomaro.
